Chapter 1: The Mysterious Stone
'Sigh…' Panting heavily from the long attempt at escaping the local authorities, Danee finally evaded them, avoiding arrest. Ignoring the voices coming from the streets, she picked a dark corner in the alleyway to sit down and rest her tired legs.
'I can't believe my luck.' Danee spoke to herself as her stomach growled angrily for not receiving its much needed fuel. Getting away from bounty hunters was easy enough for her, but she had the worst luck of the day to bump into some policemen while she was buying some food from a street stall. 'How did things end up like this?'
Just as she is about to lie down and take a short nap, her back flattened something on the cardboard sheet she is resting on, causing the ground to rumble a bit before making a loud 'click'. Curious, Danee stood back up and started investigating the alleyway. Strangely enough, she noticed that one of the windows unlocked itself…
After climbing down the stairs into the derelict house, Danee finds herself in a dimly lit library. The library underneath an abandoned house retained the 'lived-in' atmosphere much to Danee's surprise, indicating that someone indeed lives in this place.
'I probably shouldn't be here…' She whispered to herself, while exploring the dark library carefully. 'Hello? Is anyone home?'
After Danee's eyes adjusted to the dark surroundings, something on the table glittered for a brief moment, drawing Danee's attention to it. When she examined the origin of the glittering, Danee found a gemstone on the table and picked it up for closer examination. Just like how Danee saw it glitter for the first time, the gemstone's glittered again, using its brilliance to tempt Danee into staring at the gemstone.
'I could sell this for some money, but…' As if she is aware that someone is watching her, Danee quickly looked around and scanned her environment one more time to see if no one else is in the library. 'Nobody knows who took it… right?'
Without further doubts about possible witnesses, Danee quickly pocketed the gemstone and made a quick, silent exit before she is caught.

'That naughty little girl…!' Little did Danee know that her instincts were correct…
Soon after she left, a mysterious woman emerged from a fake bookshelf, clearly unhappy about watching a thief taking something precious away from her. 'Oh don't worry. I'll catch you… somehow…'
